How do I know when and if I should use a freight forwarding company and what to look for when choosing one? Also, which freight forwarder would you guys recommend?

You always have the option to use or not use a freight forwarder. Generally, it's easier to have your supplier handle all the shipping arrangements for you with DDP shipping. However, not all suppliers offer DDP and sometimes you can save a lot of money by using your own freight forwarder as the supplier can mark up the shipping costs.

As for finding a freight forwarder, give www.movley.io a shout and tell them I sent you.

Hi Crescent,
Shipping is my next step. My order is set up for DDP and like you said it's expensive. Plus can see how my supplier can jack up the price.
1. So my question is should I contact a freight forwarder just to price the shipping?

2. And do I prepare the shipping Plan before I contact a Freight forwarder?
Thanks

Yes, if you have a ball park of the size and weight of your shipment, contact freight forwards to get shipping quotes.

It's not necessary. You need to complete the shipping plan once you're ready to send product in to Amazon.

Thanks Crescent for your response.
Well I completed my shipping plan last night.
Sent the package codes, and the carton to my supplier. They will forward my carton codes to the Freight forwarder. I went with DDP shipping.
For 24 cartons it was 2200. Comes out to 3.60 per unit.
This wasn't as hard as I thought. I'll keep you posted. Thanks Crescent
